I don´t live in a fixed location (yet) as I love to travel and wander, so I live in different places all the time. Right now I´m writing from Rovaniemi, in the Finnish Lapland! I always wanted to come to Lapland since I was a kid and experience a real winter and see a place that is quite different from what I´m used to. I´m originally from Italy, but I left when I was 21, with a love for life and diversity, going to England to really learn the English Language which I knew nothing about. It was a bit hard leaving the nest and going to a completely different place where I didn´t know anyone, but the best choice of my life, which led me to so many great experiences and so much self-growth. There I also met my partner. After 3 years, I decided to leave as the busy life of London was getting too much. I went back to Italy together with my partner to explore it. At the time, I grew a great desire to learn more to use my hands, to learn about nature, crafts, getting in touch with my primitive side like foraging, building, creating, learning basic natural skills. And that is what I did. We spent a year in Italy doing "Workaway," a great platform where you can go anywhere in the world to help someone with anything, in exchange for free accommodation and food. There I met great and skillful people who taught me a lot. We went from working in an organic dairy farm in the Alps, learning to milk, shepherd, clean, harvest, cook, making dairy products, and all the many things that have to be done around a small farm. There, I learned the great lesson of not wasting food because of all the work that you have to do to produce it and the importance of food. After that, we went further south but still in the mountains and we learned about forestry, trees, and taking care of a wellness path. Then we went to central Italy where we learned about agriculture and gardening. The last place we were in was Tuscany, in a retreat center learning a lot about fixing, designing, painting, gardening, hospitality, handyman, renovating, and much more. I was doing exactly what I really wished for, to learn skills regarding the use of my hands. There I met a Reiki Master, and during a chat with her, I told her about this attraction to "using my hands," and she said that she had the same feeling. Then she discovered Reiki. I didn´t put too much weight on it, but sometimes it was wandering in my head... I started to learn Reiki only 3 years after that, but everything evolved and unfolded naturally and at its own pace, exactly as it should be. After that, we went to Sweden, always attracted by the Nordic countries. We went there doing "Workaway," and we went to one of our favorite places on Earth. It was this young family with 2 kids that were living in the middle of the forest in a fairytale place. Really simple and "hippie style" like a compost toilet, the shower was a bucket, tent as accommodation, outdoor kitchen, etc... the forest was your home, the feeling of being outdoor all the time where the woods were your living room, bedroom, playground, and more... it was simply special. The task there was to help them to build a wooden house for them, for me was crazy that no one had experience or university training into building a house, yet it came out great. There I learned a lot about building, woodworking, nature, wild harvesting for berries, mushrooms, and herbs and most importantly, I learned that nature is us and our home and living a minimal life with what really matters. Also, I learned that you can do anything if you set your mind to it and that skills and knowledge come from doing. After living in Sweden for 3 years, we moved to Finland for 6 months, for my partner´s university Erasmus, then we will spend the summer in Ireland working and after that we will be in Norway for 6 months. Here is a nice photo from Lapland!

Gionata! You are such a good soul, and I'm pretty sure you will come far. The sessions with you helped me a lot. My anxiety and busy brain got calmer, and they helped me grow even more during my Erasmus in Rovaniemi. I can highly recommend Gionata's Reiki Sessions. Take care of your self and just the best <3
